Privacy policy

Most privacy policies are long because the data practices are long. Ours is short for the opposite reason — and every claim below is verifiable in your browser’s developer tools in about ten seconds, which is more than a policy usually offers.

What this site collects: functionally, nothing

No analytics scripts. No Google Analytics, no pixels, no session recorders, no heat maps. No cookies set by us. The site works identically with cookies disabled. No third-party requests. Fonts are self-hosted; there are no ad networks, embeds, or CDNs phoning anyone — open the network tab on any page and count the external calls: the answer is zero. No accounts, no mailing list, no newsletter — nothing exists to store your email in. Our forty-five calculators run entirely in your browser; what you type into a slider never leaves your device.

The contact form

The form on our contact page transmits nothing and stores nothing: it assembles a pre-filled message in your own email application, which you then send (or don’t) like any other email. If you do email us, we see what any email recipient sees — your address and your message — and we use it to reply and, for corrections, to fix the page. We do not add you to anything (there is no “anything”), share your message with any partner, or retain it beyond ordinary mailbox housekeeping.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by a hosting provider (currently Vercel), and like effectively all web hosts it may generate standard technical logs — IP address, requested page, browser type — for security and operations under its own policy. That is the one category of data we cannot switch off, so we name it rather than pretend otherwise.

Affiliate links

When you click an affiliate link (marked rel="sponsored", explained in full in our affiliate disclosure), you leave this site, and the destination — the merchant and its tracking — operates under its own privacy policy. The click may carry a referral identifier so the merchant knows we sent you; that is the entire mechanism by which this site earns money, and it happens on their servers, not ours.

Your rights, and changes

Since we hold no user database, most data-rights requests answer themselves: there is nothing to export or delete unless you have emailed us, in which case ask and we will delete the thread. If our practices ever change — if this site ever adds analytics, for instance — this page changes first and the effective date below moves. Questions: the contact page.
